FASIH APPLICATION USAGE BRIEFING FOR KSA PADDY NURSERY SURVEY

On Monday, January 15, 2024, the Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) of Solok Selatan Regency held a briefing regarding the utilization of the FASIH application in conducting the KSA Paddy Nursery Survey. This briefing was directed towards BPS partners involved in the survey activities, marking a transition from the PAPI (Paper and Pencil Interviewing) mode to the CAPI (Computer Assisted Personal Interviewing) mode.

The FASIH application, an internally developed solution by BPS, serves as a survey management tool that combines multimode data collection methods. This allows for the utilization of mobile devices such as smartphones (HP) and access through a website, facilitating the data collection process.

In the context of the KSA Paddy Nursery Survey in Solok Selatan Regency, the use of FASIH is expected to optimize time and resource efficiency. The shift from PAPI to CAPI enables field officers to collect data more quickly and effectively. Moreover, the FASIH application allows collected data to be promptly processed and cleaned by field officers, resulting in more accurate and expedited survey outcomes.

With the integration of this technology, BPS Solok Selatan Regency aims to enhance the quality and speed of survey implementation, providing more reliable data for analysis and planning purposes in the field of agriculture, particularly concerning the Paddy Nursery Survey.
